Dalat – Bao Loc
Distance: 230 kms
There’s a lot of places around Xuan Huong lake in the centre of town to get a photo of your bike. This one with my pillion but especially if riding with mates in a group.
This is the long way to Bao Loc and for good reason. The most direct route is amongst the least safe in the country. This route ironically is awesome and with very little traffic.

(A) A recommended breakfast cafe. Very cheap for the quality of the meals though 8am open so depends how early you want to get away.
(B) Elephant Falls is a good first stop particularly in wet season. The Lady Buddha is worth checking out with a shrine inside and even walk up the inside to view the countryside through her eyes.

(C) Great views over the farmland from this point. If you have an onboard camera put it on here. The next few kilometres are exceptional.

There are great water views along the ride. I took this one from a fire tower on the side of the road.

(D) Is a recommended lunch stop overlooking a picturesque lake system around 40 islands and peninsulas.

(E) & (F) Viewpoints of the dam wall that retains a massive 6000 hectares of water surface.

(G) A well located hotel near the lake. Morning coffee and food options all nearby. Worth a search for a bargain here though.
Bao Loc, home to the Ma Indigenous people is the commercial hub of Lam Dong province. A city of around 200,000 people with elevation of 850 Metres. Like Dalat it can get cold at night and my experience has been that if its going to rain it will here.
