Distance: 150 kms

This distance wise this is a short day but if you’re into photography it is easy to spend the day capturing the lakes and hinterland along the way. A sunrise walk around the Dong Nai Lake is a great way to start that.

Historically the first 25km out of the city on this route was in poor repair but all good these days so the entire ride is exceptional.

(A) Takes you around a lovely lake system to the dam wall that retains it.

(B) A great viewpoint to the second lake now much of it a floating solar farm. A popular fishing spot with the locals.

(C) The left turn after the second lake takes your through a unique farming community. This area with low rainfall and little other than some lifestock for livelyhood is very clearly impoverished.

(D) Is a pin to take you the back road into your night stop away from traffic and police presence.

(E) A good value for money family operated hotel with the great pool.

Mui Ne is a beach resort town but if you want beach access book accommodation on the beach side of the esplanade. Public access is otherwise limited. It’s a popular destination for kitesurfers with good winds right through the dry season.
